Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad Denver & Rio Grande No. 463 No. 463 is a historical 3-foot narrow-gauge 2-8-2 "Mikado" type steam locomotive, originally constructed by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1903 for the Denver and Rio Grande Railroad (D&RG). It belongs to the D&RGW class K-27, one of the two surviving examples of its class. Known by the nickname "Mudhens," it is currently operational on the Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad, running between Chama, New Mexico, and Antonito, Colorado.
