I've always wanted to cover the most challenging of Coltrane's compositions. He is one of my major influences. I love Coltrane's changes and I find "Countdown" much harder than "Giant Steps" to solo on and to stay in the groove. Feels like so much space to fill, it's very tricky. The tempo was also a challenge but that's what is exciting about playing this tune :). I arranged it a bit and thank God that the first take we made is included on the album.
