On this day in 1953 Country Music Legend Hank Williams dies while on his way to a New Year's Day show in Canton, Ohio at the Canton Memorial Auditorium. Williams, who was born with spina bifida, was in constant pain throughout his life and caused his dependence on drugs and alcohol.
