5:30 pm update: This radar loop is showing tonight's storm moving into the area. Snow levels are hovering around 7000-7500 feet currently with a rain/snow mix (no accumulation) being reported at Donner Pass. Snow levels will fall fast tonight, reaching around 4500 feet before daybreak Sunday morning. Travel will become extremely hazardous tonight in the Sierra and snowfall rates may exceed plowing capabilities between approximately 10 pm and 6 am. Avoid travel if possible! | US National Weather
