75th ANNIVERSARY OF THE TAKING OF "REMAGEN BRIDGE" On this date in 1945, in a major blow to Nazi Germany, the Phantom Division took the Ludendorff Bridge. Over the next 10 days the Germans used virtually every weapon at their disposal to try to destroy the bridge.
