"One of the first orders of business for this new miter saw is making a zero clearance insert for it. This is the process build video for how I did it on this one. Had to do a little differently than with my last saw as the throat plate is actually two pieces. Double sided tape to the rescue. Used a scrap piece of ipe that I had and love the way it looks on this saw. Besides the aesthetics, zero clearance plates help keep debris from getting underneath the miter saw.
