EFF President, Timpakgolo Julius Malema has responded to #SONA2026, welcoming the deployment of the SANDF to curb violent crime. However, he dismissed the rest of President Ramaphosa’s address as misleading, rejecting claims regarding task teams, the establishment of Ekurhuleni University, water rejuvenation plans, and progress on unemployment. He maintained that South Africans need real action, not empty promises.
