Instead of curse words, my Mommaw used sayings like pickle lily and fiddlesticks. I heard very little cursing on the mountain. Then I became an emergency room nurse 👩‍⚕️, where cursing is an art form. Still, I never cursed in front of my grandparents, because those word would have hurt them. 💔Later, traveling to Japan taught me something deeper.
