Aces High (1976) is without doubt, to me, the greatest WW1 aviation movie, but it remains incredibly under rated. Britain's war in the air was fought by the Army's Royal Flying Corps and Navy's Royal Naval Air Service, in April 1918 they merged to form the Royal Air Force, by that time the worlds most powerful air force.
