The teams scored three goals in less than a minute in the first. Nick Robertson scored 3:12 into the game, but Morgan Geekie tied the game 18 seconds later. Twenty seconds after that, Viktor Arvidsson put Boston up 2-1. Matias Maccelli tied the game before the first intermission.
