Democrats picked up several key wins in Tuesday’s elections, prompting President Donald Trump to offer an all-caps excuse on his Truth Social platform.
The U.S. travel industry is sounding the alarm that a prolonged shutdown will cripple Thanksgiving flights, increase costs and hurt workers, families and the broader economy.
While less than 3% of flights have currently been grounded, that number could rise to 20% by Thanksgiving week, Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said.
Governor Moore announced another set of resources to support Marylanders who have been affected by the government shutdown.
Senate Republicans brought forth a bill to pay excepted workers during the shutdown, but it failed to reach the 60 vote threshold.
N.Y., offered to extend Obamacare subsidies in exchange for reopening the government as the 38-day shutdown continues.
The ruling stems from a lawsuit filed after the Trump administration altered employees’ email messages to add partisan language about the government shutdown without their consent.
Taking to Truth Social on Friday afternoon, Trump wrote, "The United States Senate should not leave town until they have a Deal to end the Democrat Shutdown. If they can’t reach a Deal, the Republicans should terminate the Filibuster, IMMEDIATELY, and take care of our Great American Workers!"
