According to Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman, the uncertainty involving the future of Boeser has led the Canucks to enter the market in search for forward reinforcements. “The Canucks have a situation where they're looking to add to their forward group, whether it's now or later,” Friedman said.

The Vancouver Canucks have struggled with consistency in 2024-25, hardly resembling the team that won the Pacific Division crown last season and advanced to Game 7 of the Western Conference Semi-Finals.
