Some 150 people attended a rally outside Tweed New Haven Airport Thursday to protest Avelo's new contract to fly ICE charters out of Arizona.

Protestors are gathered outside Tweed Airport in New Haven Thursday afternoon to rally against Avelo Airlines deportation flights. The organization running the rally is New Haven Immigrants. They say that they are not happy with Avelo’s decision to help the Trump Administration deport migrants.

On Thursday, members of local activist organizations, U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal, State Rep. Juan Candelaria and three New Haven alders gathered outside Tweed Airport to criticize Avelo’s operation of deportation flights.
