As part of their plans to overhaul their streaming platforms, Disney has announced that they'll be shutting down Hulu after nearly 20 years of operation.

Hulu is officially shutting down in 2026. Hulu was one of the first streaming services on the scene, and served as one of the original competitors to Netflix. Hulu had a great deal of success in its early years and was eventually acquired by Disney.

Disney said it is "fully integrating" the Hulu service, which it now owns 100%, into its flagship Disney+ streamer.
