A Milwaukee family is facing months of recovery after recent flooding destroyed their fully furnished basement, leaving them without insurance coverage and desperately seeking assistance.

FEMA will assess flood damage in Milwaukee County after record rains left thousands of homes destroyed and over 34 million in damages.
