Knicks head coach Mike Brown may have dropped a subtle clue about the identity of his first team at Madison Square Garden.
“Nobody has bigger expectations, first of all, than I do,” Brown said at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday. “My expectations are high. This is the Knicks. I talked about Madison Square Garden being iconic. I talked about our fans. I love and embrace the expectations that come along with it. I’m looking forward to it.”
The Knicks started the offseason but firing Tom Thibodeau and hiring Mike Brown as the next head coach, bringing in a two-time Coach of the Year. On top of that, New York bolstered its bench, signing Jordan Clarkson and Guerschon Yabusele.
While the Knicks are continuing to find ways to upgrade their roster, one of their key players made headlines on social media on Tuesday as Josh Hart had a clear reaction to a statistic regarding Pittsburgh Pirates star Paul Skenes.
Brown split his collegiate career between Mesa (Ariz.) Community College and the University of San Diego. Reed Watson spent all four years with him. As a sophomore at Mesa, Watson was sidelined multiple games by an ankle injury, which also prevented him from doing the paper route he needed to support himself.
