Emma Raducanu booked her place in the third round of the Canadian Open with a convincing 6-2, 6-4 victory over American 32nd seed Peyton Stearns on Wednesday.

Emma Raducanu continued her run of good form as she booked a place in the third round of the National Bank Open in Montreal with a straight-sets win over Peyton Stearns. The world number 33 proved too strong for the American 32nd seed, a couple of breaks in each set clinching a 6-2, 6-4 win.

Emma Raducanu brushed off her semifinal defeat in Washington D.C. with a straight-sets win over Elena-Gabriela Ruse at the Canadian Open on Monday.
