A 15-year-old was attempting to rob a man in his 20s, who has a concealed pistol license and was armed, when the teen was fatally shot, police said.

At 10:57 a.m., police received calls of shots fired and one possibly down in the 3800 block of Bewick Street, Deputy Chief Arnold Williams said during a media briefing. When officers arrived on the scene, they found two people in the street who had been fatally shot.

Two people were killed and one person was taken into custody Thursday in a shooting that involved two gunmen, Detroit police said.
