The Chicago area has experienced several days of pleasant temperatures, but the mercury will be trending upward again in coming days.

"The air quality is officially dangerous in Chicago," says Brian Urbaszewski, director of environmental health programs at the Respiratory Health Association. "It's going to send people to the emergency room.

Chicago air quality remains in the top five worst in the world Friday with an Air Quality Alert in place from Canadian wildfire smoke.
