Waymo will test their self-driving cars this summer in Philadelphia and New York as the company preps for further expansion of its rideshare services.

Waymo said it will offer “specially-trained Rider Support agents” during rides hailed by teens and loop in parents if needed.

Philadelphia is one of more than 10 cities where human autonomous-technology experts will be taking Waymos on summer “road trips,” allowing the cars “to get to know the city,” spokesperson Sandy Karp said in a statement. The testing fleets are closed to the public.
