Among the thousands who have lost their jobs as the Trump administration's Department of Government Efficiency works its way through the federal workforce are about 1,000 National Park Service employees.

Nearly 1,000 National Parks employees were abruptly fired last week. The cuts are part of the Trump administration’s efforts to curb federal spending. Brian Gibbs is one of the park rangers who lost his job at Effigy Mounds National Monument in northeast Iowa.
