Diana is the Roman equivalent of the Greek moon goddess, Artemis. Roman artists often depict Diana as a huntress with bow and quiver, accompanied by a hound or deer.

The team behind RMS Titanic, Inc. has released new photos of the shipwreck after the goddess statue, "Diana of Versailles," was rediscovered. Decay of the shipwreck was also captured.

A small statue of the Roman goddess Diana that stood in the first class lounge on the Titanic has been sighted on the ocean floor. She had been unseen since she was photographed in 1986.
