A long-discussed bridge connecting South Natomas to Downtown Sacramento is a step closer to reality after city leaders approved its design on Tuesday evening. The proposed Truxel Bridge project has been in the works for more than a decade.

The city of Sacramento is taking another step toward possibly building a bridge between the Natomas community and downtown Sacramento. The city is set to hold a special meeting on Tuesday. Melanie Wingo reports.
