It's been 114 days since 23-year-old forward Trinity Rodman played in a professional soccer match and nearly a year since she last scored a goal, as the U.S. women's national team player worked her way back from a lengthy back injury.

U.S. women's national team forward Trinity Rodman returned from injury and scored the game-winner for the Washington Spirit as they defeated the Portland Thorns 2-1 on Sunday. Rodman, 23, made her long-awaited return, making her first appearance for the club since April after taking time away to deal with a back injury.

Rodman made put an exclamation on her return when she scored the game-winning goal for the Spirit in a big 2-1 win over Portland. Rodman played in just one game for the USWNT on April 5. Rodman scored about five minutes in and pretended to have a back injury as part of the goal celebration.
