Akron police say a 48-year-old driver crashed his vehicle into a barrier after witnesses reported he was speeding through traffic on Sunday morning. The man then walked into oncoming traffic, where he was struck by a car.

The incident began around 6 a.m. when police responded to reports of shots fired on Thomas S. Boyland St. near Linden Blvd. in Brownsville.

Police have arrested a man accused of fatally stabbing his father in Farmington last Friday.
