Arsenal face an immediate test of their Premier League title credentials against a revamped Manchester United.

Manchester United have typically gone for players abroad, but this deal should excite fans who have been glued up to the Premier league after impressing mightily for Brentford in recent years. The Cameroon international has excelled with a level of consistency, being the main man for The Bees, taking up that role when Ivan Toney departed the club.

Amorim said the team is already better than the one which finished 15th last season, but the Portuguese coach has also tried to temper expectations by insisting United remain a work in progress.

Amorim’s signings have brought excitement to the new campaign.

“I think he has great potential in everything he does,” head coach Amorim said.

Amorim confirmed that Lisandro Martinez and Noussair Mazraoui are both out for Sunday's game.

Amorim will need his wing-backs to regularly support the back three - likely to be made up of Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt and Luke Shaw.
