Julio César Chávez Jr. has been deported from the United States to his native Mexico, where the boxer was immediately arrested and jailed in Sonora.

Mexico had also, according to Homeland Security, issued an warrant for Chávez’s arrest for his involvement in allegedly trafficking firearms, ammunition and explosives.
