But there’s something far more telling about that play. The throw. Or, rather, the decision to throw it at all.

Patrick Mahomes appeared in just two plays for the Kansas City Chiefs in their preseason opener against the Arizona Cardinals, but he certainly made the most of it. Mahomes scored a touchdown before he was officially replaced by backup quarterback Gardner Minshew during Saturday's contest.
