Avoiding a loss to ex-coach Mike White’s No. 18 Georgia Bulldogs was critical for a Florida team riding a 13-game winning streak at the O’Connell Center and entering 0-1 in SEC play.

Thomas Haugh scored 21 points with 12 rebounds and five assists, Urban Klavzar hit three 3-pointers to finish with 11 points off the bench and Alex Condon added 21 points as Florida out-scored Georgia, 51-37, in the second half for its 13th win in its last 14 tries against the Bulldogs.

GAINESVILLE — Florida landed Penn State transfer offensive lineman TJ Shanahan to capitalize on new assistant coach Phil Trautwein’s relationship while their coach with the Nittany Lions.

Penn State offensive line transfer Eagan Boyer (6-8, 302) visited Gainesville this weekend as he was coached last year by new offensive line coach Phil Trautwein. Boyer who is redshirt freshman played in all 13 games this past year including starting four games for Penn State.
