The polls closed at 8 p.m. for election day in Western Pennsylvania. The biggest race in the area was for Pittsburgh mayor, while the retention bids of three Pennsylvania Supreme Court justices are also getting considerable public attention and financial support.
Justices Christine Donohue, Kevin Dougherty, and David Wecht have won additional terms on the PA Supreme Court.
Brandon Neuman, Maria Battista and Daniel Wassmer are vying for an open seat, while Judge Alice DuBow is up for a retention vote.
