Amazon’s new range is a comprehensive refresh of the Kindle brand, but sees one classic model come to the end of its life.

Amazon also debuted a new Kindle Paperweight, Kindle Paperweight Kids and the original Kindle in a matcha-inspired shade ($109.99). The upgraded Kindle Paperweight, its fastest edition yet, has 16 GB of storage and it’s available in raspberry, jade and black.

Amazon’s 2024 Kindle family refresh includes its first color screen e-reader, the Kindle Colorsoft, and Paperwhite upgrades that deliver a bigger and faster display.

Amazon also unveiled a refreshed $399 Kindle Scribe with new note-taking features and an updated $159 Kindle Paperwhite.

Earlier this week, Amazon refreshed its entire Kindle lineup while adding a new color model to the mix. The updated entry-level Kindle ($109.99) and Kindle Paperwhite ($159.99) are available now, while the Kindle Colorsoft Signature Edition and updated Kindle Scribe will launch on October 30th and December 4th, respectively.

Amazon’s best-selling Kindle, the Paperwhite, has also received some updates. It’s been given 25% faster page turns, which benefits the Kindle Library or the Store with a more responsive experience. It’s also been bumped up to seven inches but is still the slimmest Kindle on the market, with up to an impressive three-month battery life.
