James has been practicing with the G League's South Bay Lakers as part of his recovery from sciatica and could rejoin Los Angeles as early as next week. The Lakers are off to an impressive 8-4 start without James, especially considering that both Luka Dončić and Austin Reaves have missed time due to injuries as well.

Russell Westbrook was moved into the starting lineup for the Sacramento Kings on Friday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves and he made some NBA history in the contest. Westbrook joined his former teammate, Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James, as just the second player ever to record over 25,000 points and 10,000 assists in his career.
