MVP award has been dominated by quarterbacks for a decade, however, Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley could change that this year. That's because Barkley has been named an Associated Press finalist for the 2024 NFL MVP award.

Saquon Barkley set an Eagles franchise record with 255 yards rushing in Philadelphia’s 37-20 victory over the Los Angeles Rams on Nov. 24.

The Rams had an opportunity to beat the Eagles on their last drive, reaching the red zone, but came up short, 28-22, in the NFC divisional round of the playoffs.

The first, of course, is that the Eagles (14-3) already beat the Rams (10-7) back on Nov. 24, 37-20, at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. In that game, Saquon Barkley rushed for 255 yards, a career-high and franchise record. That included TD runs of 70 and 72 yards.

If it were up to Saquon Barkley, he would put the entire Philadelphia Eagles organization on his back and try to sprint into the NFC Championship Game.

Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley shared a close bond during their time with the Giants, and it seems that hasn’t changed despite the two no longer being teammates. Jones was on hand on Sunday when Barkley rushed for 205 yards and two touchdowns in the Eagles’ 28-22 NFC divisional round win over the Rams.
