Former independent US Senate candidate Dan Osborn announced Tuesday that he will make another run for office next year, this time against GOP Sen. Pete Ricketts of Nebraska.
Dan Osborn, the independent who ran against Deb Fischer in the 2024 General Election announced Tuesday morning that he will run for Senate in the 2026 midterm election.
On Tuesday, the New York Times reported that Osborn, an independent in the 2024 race against Sen. Deb Fischer, will now run against Sen. Pete Ricketts in the 2026 election. Osborn received 436,493 votes in the race against Fischer. He was a political upstart in that race, submitting around 12,500 signatures to appear on the ballot.
The nonprofit has been doing garden walks for the past several years in Lincoln and Omaha to educate horticulturalists about Nebraska’s native plant species.
