The Jacksonville Jaguars are parting ways with General Manager Trent Baalke. Jaguars Owner Shad Khan released the following statement on Wednesday afternoon: “Following several discussions with Trent Baalke this week,

Baalke was named the general manager of the San Francisco 49ers in 2011. He was Executive of the Year for the 2011 season by the Pro Football Writers of America after the team went 13-3. He was fired after a 2-14 season in 2017.

Shortly after that news broke, the Jaguars decided to move on from Baalke as general manager. After serving as GM for the past five seasons, team owner Shad Khan released an official statement regarding the organization's decision to make a change in the front office.
