Former Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel was urged to take the offensive coordinator gig with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Former Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel reportedly will meet with the Los Vegas Raiders on Monday to interview for their head coaching job, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

Packers defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley is the leading candidate to replace the fired Mike McDaniel, Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network reported Saturday. No final decisions have been made, Pelissero tweeted, and Hafley has earned a second interview with four other NFL teams for their head-coaching openings.

Darren Waller may have been the last player to speak with Mike McDaniel before the Miami Dolphins fired the coach. As Waller put it on an interview with former NFL quarterback Johnny Manziel, he was at the “scene of the crime.”
