Houston residents will soon have a new way to get their groceries— drone delivery. Walmart announced Thursday that it plans to bring its drone delivery program to Houston through its partnership with Wing, the drone delivery service owned by Google's parent company Alphabet, in the upcoming year.

Walmart's futuristic plans to deliver your orders via flying robots are closer to becoming reality, as the mega-retailer expands its drone delivery program to five major cities and more than 100 store locations.

Walmart and Wing are expanding their partnership and rolling out drone delivery to dozens of more stores in Atlanta, Charlotte, Houston, Orlando, and Tampa.
