Eleven different teams got votes to win the SEC championship. Georgia was second with 44 votes, followed by Alabama (29), then LSU (20), South Carolina (5), Oklahoma (3), Vanderbilt (2), Florida (2), Tennessee (1), Ole Miss (1) and Auburn (1).

Six Texas A&M football players earned preseason all-sec distinction following a vote by the media in attendance at sec media days in Atlanta the week, the league office announced today.

During Tuesday’s festivities at SEC Media Days in Atlanta, Steve Sarkisian and the Texas Longhorns took the stage. When each coach is introduced, their respective school’s fight song begins playing. But Sarkisian’s introduction went viral when he wasn’t introduced to “Texas Fight,” and was instead introduced as the “Aggie War Hymn” played.

SEC football media days continue July 17 with Texas A&M, Kentucky, Arkansas and Missouri set to speak on Day 4 of press conferences in Atlanta.

The conference's annual summer event has concluded, but talking season will continue for a just a little bit longer.
