Newly revealed texts show Steve Bannon and Jeffrey Epstein strategizing legal and media tactics to shield Epstein from scrutiny and legal challenges.

Bannon served four months in prison in 2024 after defying a congressional subpoena from the January 6 Committee. Earlier this year, he pleaded guilty to defrauding donors to his We Build the Wall nonprofit, avoiding more jail time. President Donald Trump previously pardoned Bannon for related federal charges.

Bannon may have been accusing the Democrats of "stealing" a federal election in 2020, as well as insinuating that Trump lost that election in part because the Chinese "dropped" a pandemic on the U.S. As we have reported previously, there is no evidence to show that the 2020 election was stolen.

The top Trump ally is fretting about the fallout if Republicans lose the 2026 midterms and the 2028 presidential race.

During a recent episode of his War Room podcast, Bannon said that "you can drive a Mack truck through the 22nd Amendment," suggesting there are exploitable holes in the provision that could allow Trump to maneuver his way into a third term. Bannon cited a "top constitutional lawyer" who allegedly made the Mack truck comment.

H eading into this week, it looked like Steve Bannon ’s Supreme Court appeal was headed for a quick rejection.
