The phrase "recollections may vary" is a clear nod to the Royal Family's response to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's interview with Oprah Winfrey, which implied a disagreement with some of the couple's claims. He continued: “I have to rely on what my sources tell me and this has been a trusted source right at the centre of the Royal Family.”
