Nico Harrison finally spoke in public to reporters for the first time since the day after the Luka Doncic trade on Feb. 2, and some of his comments drew the ire of the Inside the NBA crew on TNT. Shaquille O’Neal and Kenny Smith offered advice to the Mavericks GM on what he should do moving forward.

The chants started shortly after Mavericks general manager Nico Harrison stunningly dealt Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers in early February and have continued up until the end of the 2024-25 season, with the Mavs getting eliminated from postseason contention last week.

During a TNT segment on Monday night, Barkley pleaded with Harrison to stop talking with the media about arguably the most controversial NBA trade of all time, particularly while it's still so fresh in people's minds. "Don't go on T.V.," Barkley advised Harrison during the segment. "Lay low. Just lay low."
