A Massachusetts jury began its second full day of deliberations in the second murder trial of Karen Read, the woman accused of hitting her police officer boyfriend with her SUV and leaving him for dead in 2022.

Norfolk County Superior Court Judge Beverly Cannone denied a defense motion to amend verdict slips after Read’s lawyers argued forms were “unclear and otherwise confusing.”
