In his trade request Micah Parsons shed light on a March meeting with Cowboys owner Jerry Jones that led to the team believing a deal was 'all but done.'

He spoke about staying quiet as all of the news of his contract dispute played out. He spoke about the way he and his agent talked about approaching the Cowboys, how he met with Jerry Jones and it sounded like "the deal was pretty much already done." That wasn't the case.

The Athletic’s Dianna Russini is reporting that the Cowboys (naturally) don’t want to trade Parsons.
