The question is whether backcourt star Arike Ogunbowale will be part of Dallas’ future as the franchise rebuilds back into a playoff team.

Ogunbowale scored a game-high 20 points on 7-of-15 shooting and recorded a career-high 14 assists, a franchise record. While rookie Paige Bueckers also shined against the Liberty — she shot 7-of-12 for 20 points and added four assists — the phenom said the story of Monday night’s game should be about Ogunbowale.

Following a 26-point loss to the Las Vegas Aces on Sunday, coach Chris Koclanes said he wanted to see the chemistry the team has built this season to translate more onto the court.
