AP Top 25 poll takeaways: Big wins boost Michigan and TCU into the top 10 while ACC teams tumble
However, when they face UConn, Michigan certainly can prove that they are worthy of voters’ high regard. Big 12 teams moved up a combined 13 spots in the AP poll, while West Virginia debuted at No. 23. No conference member slid from their prior spot, either.
Purdue and Houston again swapped spots, as the Boilermakers returned to No. 1 in the AP Top 25 men's college basketball poll while Louisville and Illinois entered the top 10.

Florida basketball stands pat in AP Top 25 Poll after two weeks of play
Now 3-1 after a schedule-opening loss to the Arizona Wildcats, the Orange and Blue finds itself ranked 10th in the latest AP Poll Top 25 update after two weeks of play — the same spot it was in in the previous update. That puts Todd Golden's gang between the No. 9 BYU Cougars and No. 11 Alabama Crimson Tide.
Texas A&M maintained its standing in the top three after a comeback win over South Carolina, while Texas Tech moved up two spots to No. 6. Oklahoma is also in the top 10 after its upset of Alabama. Meanwhile, Texas fell to No. 17 after its stumble on the road at Georgia.
Michigan and TCU vaulted into the top 10 of the Top 25 women's basketball poll Monday after big victories over ranked opponents.
Louisville nearly fell out of my poll entirely after falling to Clemson at home on Friday. For now, its wins over Miami, James Madison and Pittsburgh (all top-30ish caliber teams) are keeping them in.
