A Powerball ticket worth $50,000 was purchased in New Jersey for Wednesday’s lottery drawing by a player who used the Jackpocket app. The third-prize ticket matched four numbers plus the Powerball. Wednesday’s winning numbers were: 13, 21, 27, 43 and 45. The Powerball drawn was 26 with a Power Play of 5X.

A player from Colorado won $1 million in a recent Powerball drawing, and the excitement is now buzzing throughout the area. According to the Colorado Lottery, this ticket was purchased at the Loaf 'N Jug located at 102 N. Rubey Drive just off of Highway 93 and Iowa Drive in Golden.

The player pool for the Powerball jackpot is expected to significantly expand this summer. On Tuesday, the Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL) -- which operates Powerball -- announced an agreement to offer Powerball in the United Kingdom starting this summer.
