Nikola Jokic scores 55 points to match NBA season high, Nuggets beat Clippers for 6th straight win
Nikola Jokic had 55 points, tying the highest-scoring performance in the NBA this season, and 12 rebounds and the Denver Nuggets beat the short-handed Los Angeles Clippers 130-116 on Wednesday night for their sixth straight victory.
Jokić is the first player in NBA history to score at least 55 points on 23 or fewer field goal attempts and the sixth player to score that many points in 34 minutes or fewer. (There have been nine instances of a player scoring 55 points in no more than 34 minutes of playing time. Kobe Bryant and James Harden both did it twice.)
Nikola Jokic paced the Denver Nuggets with 52 points through three quarters of play against the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday night. He finished with 55 points as the Nuggets won 130-116. It's the fourth 50-point game of Jokic's career but – rather incredibly – the first in which his team has won.

Clippers-Nuggets game temporarily halted after fan rushes onto court
Video from last night's game between the LA Clippers and Denver Nuggets shows the moment when a fan rushed onto the court.
The Nuggets are certainly feeling an advantage with Leonard and Beal sidelined, but they have two starters listed on their injury report as well. The Nuggets have listed Aaron Gordon (left hamstring injury management) and Jamal Murray (left calf tightness) as probable against the Clippers.
The Denver Nuggets are back in the thick of the Western Conference elite once again after the 2025-26 NBA season started recently, and their All-Star center Nikola Jokic has given basketball fans another reason to see why he is one of the most dominant players in basketball history.
The Nuggets were ahead, 112-97, with 4:50 left in the fourth quarter when Jokic decided to pull it off. He was being guarded by Derik Queen at the free-throw line when he made the nifty dime to Peyton Watson, who gave a ghost screen before diving to the basket for the dunk.
Nuggets forward Christian Braun will be reevaluated in six weeks after injuring his left ankle Wednesday night against the Clippers, the team announced Friday.
