The Denver Nuggets have now won five consecutive games to improve to 8-2 on the season. Now, the Nuggets are gearing up to complete their second consecutive back-to-back series, as they travel to face the LA Clippers just one night after beating the Sacramento Kings.

A surprise moment happened during the Clippers-Nuggets game. A fan showed up on the court running and was quickly taken outside the court.

Nikola Jokic had 55 points, tying the highest-scoring performance in the NBA this season, and 12 rebounds and the Denver Nuggets beat the short-handed Los Angeles Clippers 130-116 on Wednesday night for their sixth straight victory.

Jokić is the first player in NBA history to score at least 55 points on 23 or fewer field goal attempts and the sixth player to score that many points in 34 minutes or fewer. (There have been nine instances of a player scoring 55 points in no more than 34 minutes of playing time. Kobe Bryant and James Harden both did it twice.)

The Nuggets were ahead, 112-97, with 4:50 left in the fourth quarter when Jokic decided to pull it off. He was being guarded by Derik Queen at the free-throw line when he made the nifty dime to Peyton Watson, who gave a ghost screen before diving to the basket for the dunk.
