MANHATTAN, Kan. — Kansas State received great news for its 2026 roster as offensive tackle George Fitzpatrick is expected to return for the 2026 season, according to On3. Fitzpatrick was considered to be one of the Wildcats best offensive linemen going into the fall, but a preseason injury sidelined him for the entirety of 2025.

K-State announced the hiring of Cory Patterson as its next running backs coach. Patterson was the running backs coach at Oklahoma State in 2025, and he's also served as a wide receivers coach at Purdue (2023-24), and as a tight ends coach at Illinois from 2018-20 and a running backs coach from 2021-22.

It appears that another member of the Texas A&M football staff will follow Collin Klein to Kansas State. Jeremy Jacobs, the associate director of strength and conditioning for the Aggies, is expected to lead the Wildcats in the weight room next season, according to a report from On3.
