The Blue Devils have remained at the highest level of the sport consistently despite any hurdles.

Duke officially revealed its nonconference schedule for the 2026-27 season on Friday. Although most of the matchups were already known before the release, it reinforced how tough Duke's schedule will be before ACC play begins.

The Blue Devils are continuing to shape their schedule for the 2026-27 season, and also added a December game against Harvard in Durham.

Over the last two weeks or so, the Duke basketball program has shown interest in several top prospects in the 2027 recruiting class. Head coach Jon Scheyer has been overwhelmingly successful as a recruiter since he took over in Durham,

However, Scheyer coaches at Duke, where a run to the final weekend of the college basketball season is expected, and anything less than a national title comes with questions year in and year out. Scheyer has come close to leading Duke to the title in back-to-back seasons.

The Blue Devils have a mixture of experience and 5-star recruits, and have dipped into the NCAA portal for transfer guard John Blackwell.

Boumtje Boumtje is a talented passer, can create for himself, and has a proven outside shot. The big man shot over 50% from three-point range at the FIBA U17 World Cup this summer with Team USA and 47% from the perimeter with FC Barcelona at the Adidas NextGen EuroLeague Tournament. He won the MVP award in both events.
