So far, Thanos has been Marvel's biggest force to reckon with in the MCU, but these characters would have proven he could be beat.

It took a lot of work to get on Thanos' good side, but the MCU didn't care enough to explore one of his best allies.

So naturally, Nebula's relationship with Thanos isn't exactly great, and much like Gamora did, she came to hate and resent him for all of the horrible things he's done to her and the universe.

Basically, Thanos is cultivating life on his farm and doing what he can to protect it from predators. That's the exact opposite of what he was attempting to do in Infinity War.
